THE START UP & THE TECHNOLOGY

A new technology based on UV-C light

UV Boosting is currently the world leader in global plant care using light flashes, and designs and markets agricultural equipment for stimulating plant’s natural defences using UV-C flashes.

UV Boosting also helps reduce losses in the face of climate change. On vines, UV flash stimulation can reduce losses caused by water stress or heatwaves, resulting in yield preservation of between 10% and 40%. A single stimulation 48 hours before an episode of white frost also makes it possible to reduce bud damage by 10 to 40% and preserve the production potential of the vines.

This method is an effective way of better protecting crops using an environmentally-friendly technique.

UV-C flashes boost plants’ defence mechanisms against disease and their tolerance mechanisms to climatic stress.

This preventive method makes the exposed plant more resistant to biotic and abiotic stresses, thereby reducing yield losses due to pathogens, drought, frost, etc. In the face of increasingly stringent regulatory restrictions on the use of fungicides in recent years, this technology reduces winegrowers dependence on plant protection products, enabling them to reduce inputs by 25 to 80% depending on the plant protection context, and to reduce the impact of fungal diseases by an average of 50%.
